Your number 1 goal is to start generating leads or sales fast. Dustin, one of my new partners thought he might have to learn everything….I mean every trick in the book. He almost bagged the entire thing at first. I said absolutely NOT, that would be a big mistake.

On line marketing has become my passion now. I enjoy waking up to discover all the new leads in my aweber account. I am now able to effortlessly target the right people to show my business opportunity to. The strategies I use on line to market my network marketing business are the same strategies used by big corporations and educated marketing professionals. This allows me to attract true professionals into my inner circle.

So, how can you avoid some of the pitfalls I fell into? Let’s take a quick look at what I did.

After all, even for the best of us there is a learning curve. Right!

I followed the step-by-step guide from my mastermind group, My Lead System Pro (MLSP). My sales pages were up and running with my personalized video introduction. I created my Facebook profile, Twitter and Youtube accounts. I was ready to go.

The sales pages designed by my mastermind team were fantastic. I was getting leads almost daily and I had not yet begun to market.

I knew I needed to focus on just one or two marketing strategies, one being social media and one other of my choice.

As marketers everywhere attempted to build a relationship with me promoting their tips, tricks and secret strategies to generate traffic I did not know which way to turn.

Doubt at times crept in. Does this really work?

I knew enough to be totally certain this was not hype. But it is easy to become overwhelmed.

If you have spent any time on line exploring how to advertise your site you’ve discovered houndreds of great strategies. It would be a mistake to think you needed to learn everything.

Although driving traffic to your sales page or web site through 10 or more methods is great according to Mike Dillard, you only NEED ONE method to drive traffic.

My advice to you, do a gut check. That’s right, a gut check.

Your decision on marketing procedures has to match your comfort zone. Choose a method that you can comfortably apply consistently for six months.

Once you start something stick with it. You do not need to convert yours just because you found a great idea that is working for someone else. Just make note of the new idea. Bookmark it for later use, but stay targeted on what you are presently doing.

One tip that has worked wonders for me is having one resource for a variety of strategies. That’s where a Mastermind Marketing Team comes in handy. That makes is for you to find which approach is right for you.

A few things to consider:

1. Is it a fit for your personal style and creativity?

It’s extremely important that you enjoy what you are doing. People value your authenticity when you can be real That does not mean you have to enjoy it at first. It will take a little time to master before you can have fun with any new skill. Are you a social butterfly or not? Are you comfortable with the sound of your voice? If so, try video marketing. Are you an avid reader or writer? You could become an author and advertise your own articles. Paid advedrtizing might be more to your liking.

2. What will your learning curve be?

Do you have any past experience with any part of the task you will be learning? Have you navigated Facebook for personal use? The good news, anyone can learn anything. I am not asking you to change your personality form computer geek to social butterfly. You want to find something that works with your personality not against it.

3. You may run across a great idea, but if it means robbing the family cookie jar to implement it save that one for later.

4. Focus – Invest – Study – Master just ONE method.

You may need to explore a few ideas before you settle on one, but once you do don’t get distracted. Remember, we are in the marketing business. People will sell you on their idea. Know you are being sold. Check your gut. Does it fit into the plan you created NOW? If not it can wait. Stop, take time to buy if it matches your plan, but don’t let someone sell you somehting

When you can write a book on the one method you choose…then consider something else.

You do not want to be a Jack-of-All-Trades and a Master of NONE!

There are many good sources of work at home business information on the Internet today. Training is essential if you expect to make more money working at home and finding good information is important.
