One of the most major problems in the network marketing business is the fact that people that are new to the business are never taught how to sell without selling. By that I mean that they are never really shown how to present the products or services in a non-pressured environment to people who are likely to buy.  They are never shown who their target market is how to get to them.

More often than not an upline in a network marketing business tells their downline is to write lists, hand out CDs or pamphlets, or throw presentation parties to get the word out about their new venture. But sadly enough, unless you know a million folks, these ideas will never get a network marketing business the type of exposure that is conducive to long term residual income.

Instead what needs to be taught by the uplines in network marketing organizations is how to sell. And not just sell the product or service of the company they are currently in, but sell any product or service from any organization.

Furthermore, there needs to be more emphasis put on automation too when it goes to building a successful network marketing organization. There’s a lot to be said about setting up a way for you to expose people to your business.

Imagine having the ability to basically prospect 50 to 100 people every day without having to speak to a single soul. Imagine being able to position yourself as a leader by teaching other people how to repeat your efforts. Imagine all of this and add on the fact that you could get started for free.

When searching the internet for help there are thousands of so called gurus out there who teach you everything you need to know about getting leads to grow your mlm downline. They talk about using techniques to get people looking for you instead of you getting out there chasing people down. Common sense will say they are right and that’s a much more effective way to build a business. If you are able to establish your expertise and get people interested in what you have it means less work for you and better chances of getting enrollments. In this article I will be sharing with you the missing pieces that the gurus don’t teach for growing your mlm downline.

Finding leads to grow your mlm downline is only the tip of the ice berg to home business success.  If something sounds too good to be true it usually is. There are several more components you must have in place when growing your business which is critical to your success. Having success depends on how effective you can train your mlm downline and get them into profit as soon as possible without spending a lot of money. Some of the techniques these gurus teach can require a lot of learning time and a lot of financial investment.

Such techniques include data capture sites, writing articles, pay-per click advertising, social networking, etc. Even if you are affective at using these tools you must be able to train your mlm downline how to use these tools and for this reason I don’t recommend these techniques as a beginning network marketer. When growing your mlm downline you must begin by using techniques which are simple, quick and economical. You should learn and train your downline how to market using targeted buyier and response leads before doing anything else. You must have a skill for talking on the phone and you must not have a fear of talking to people.

You must lead with your products and not your opportunity when growing your mlm downline because this is what insures continuous growth in your business and distributors staying around for years instead of months because they actually love the products. If you are part of a network marketing company where you can’t be passionate about the products you should consider looking for a different company or else you will struggle regardless of how good your marketing skills are. You must also have a well establishes training system in place when growing your mlm downline. I highly recommend getting conference call training classes done on a weekly basis. This gives you’re the chance to practice and rehearse prospecting and closing scripts and get the support they need.

One of the reasons why there is a high attrition rate in network marketing is because distributors continue to lead with business opportunity instead of products. It doesn’t matt how you find your leads if you lead with opportunity you will continue to struggle.
